Introducing our AV Control Solutions
Organisations who have large audio-visual (AV) estates need to ensure the best possible return on their technology investments is achievable. After all, what is the point in investing in solutions your employees struggle to use. Furthermore, why make these investments if you do not have the centralised intelligence to understand and optimise technology usage, have the capabilities for remote support and configuration or the ability to enhance security with user management and device firmware or software updates. Control and monitoring solutions solve these issues and empower organisations to get the most out of their technology investments.
In meeting and presentation spaces, room control systems make what would seem like complex tasks, simple. They combine network, switching and distribution technologies with easy-to-use interfaces which give users full, intuitive control of the technology. From an organisational-wide perspective, cloud-based monitoring tools give company departments the insights they need to enhance efficiencies, minimise downtime and most importantly, deliver a positive return on investment.
To take full advantage of the benefits these solutions bring you need a trusted partner who can support your digital transformation strategy, advising you on the tools you need now and how these will evolve in the future.
If you are seeking professional guidance for your project and would prefer to speak directly with an expert, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Our team are on hand to discuss your requirements so why not get the ball rolling today.

Room Control Systems
Well-designed control systems remove the complexities of using technology in your spaces and enable you to focus on the business in hand. Whether you want to start a video conference in the meeting room, share content in the classroom or control multiple sources of information simultaneously in the control room, a well-designed control system and user interface enhances productivity by automating processes and eliminating technology frustrations.
Cinos have extensive experience in delivering control systems for a multitude of commercial applications. We can provide a range of company-branded meeting room control interfaces which bring a familiar Webex, Microsoft Teams or Zoom experience to the space, offering one-touch-to-join and content sharing functionality as well as the ability to centrally control HVAC and lighting. Our expertise within the command & control space positions us perfectly for more complex requirements. We provide sophisticated control interfaces that enable operators to display and analyse numerous sources of information simultaneously across video walls, interactive screens, and any other type of display technology.
Room Booking Systems
Room booking systems are a powerful tool for organisations looking to maximise the utilisation of their meeting spaces. Typically, these solutions combine hardware components such room booking panels, occupancy sensors and availability indicators with cloud-based management tools, enabling organisations to manage, monitor and report on meeting room usage. LED indicators allow users to see room availability at a glance with options to book ad hoc meetings from the room panels or schedule meetings through their chosen calendar client such as Outlook or Google Calendar.
Furthermore, room booking systems can utilise occupancy sensors, enabling organisations to monitor the number of people in any given space and schedule rooms to be cleaned after use. These systems have also evolved to include desk booking systems to cater for the rise of hotdesking. Users can simply login to the platform’s app from their phone or PC and book a desk at the office, meaning there will always be a space for them and no journey to the office will be a wasted one. By partnering with leading room booking manufacturers, Cinos have access to best-in-class solutions capable of satisfying any requirement.
Resource Management Systems
Resource management solutions provide organisations with the ability to remotely monitor and manage their entire AV estate from a single pane of glass. IT departments can proactively monitor everything from displays, wireless presentation systems and digital signage to collaboration systems and meeting room HVAC and lighting. These powerful tools enable organisations to identify and fix faults before they become problematic, easing the strain on IT departments and significantly reducing the downtime associated with faulty technology.
Furthermore, because resource management systems are based in the cloud, IT departments can configure, update and deploy devices from a central location. They no longer need IT technicians to visit every meeting room each time there is a device firmware update. Instead, this functionality gives organisations the opportunity to deploy at scale, significantly improving operational efficiencies. If you have a large AV estate and are looking into monitoring tools, please get in touch. We partner with leading providers such as Crestron and Cisco to ensure whatever is happening with your AV equipment, you know about it.

Frequently Asked Questions
An AV (Audio Visual) system integrates audio and visual technologies to support effective communication, collaboration and content sharing across a variety of environments.
These systems can take many forms, from small meeting rooms equipped with displays, video conferencing and audio solutions, to more complex environments such as command and control centres with video walls, interactive displays and advanced switching technologies. AV also extends to room booking, digital signage and other workplace technology solutions.
Regardless of complexity or setting, control is key to a successful AV experience. Whether it’s a one-touch join in a meeting room or managing multiple data sources in a control room, users need simple, intuitive access to technology. At Cinos, we design AV systems with intelligent control at their core, ensuring your spaces are easy to use, efficient to operate and aligned with your organisational goals.
AV management is the centralised oversight of your entire audio-visual estate; from individual meeting spaces to large command-and-control environments. It encompasses:
Remote monitoring is a key component of effective AV management. By leveraging cloud-enabled resource management platforms you can:
By working with Cinos, we will ensure your AV systems can be remotely managed, maintained and optimised with ease. We partner with leading manufacturers, as well as platform-agnostic solutions such as Utelogy, to provide a comprehensive 360-degree view of your AV estate. This enables organisations to improve reliability, reduce support overheads, gain valuable utilisation insights and make more informed decisions around future technology investments and sustainability initiatives.
An AV control system provides a single platform for managing and automating the various technologies that make up an audio-visual solution. Its primary purpose is to simplify operation by bringing multiple devices and systems together under a single, intuitive user interface.
However, an AV control system does far more than simply control AV equipment. It can monitor events and trigger actions based on inputs from other systems, such as occupancy sensors, fire alarms, building management systems, security platforms or other third-party technologies. For example, a fire alarm activation could automatically mute audio systems, lower display screens, or switch content to emergency messaging.
AV control systems can also integrate with non-AV technologies including lighting, HVAC, blinds, room scheduling systems and environmental controls, creating a fully automated and coordinated user experience.
Actions can be sequenced and automated by the control system, allowing multiple events to occur from a single command. For example, pressing a “Start Presentation” button could power on displays, select the correct source, lower blinds, adjust room lighting and configure the audio system automatically, removing the need for manual intervention and ensuring a consistent user experience every time.
Cinos has extensive experience in designing control interfaces tailored to the specific needs of organisations across a range of sectors. While full customisation is available, it’s not always required. In rooms using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex or Google Meet, we offer intuitive native interfaces that mirror the desktop experience, ensuring ease of use and familiarity across all meeting spaces. Similarly, in command and control environments, specialist platforms provide purpose-built interfaces designed specifically for operational workflows, enabling users to manage sources, layouts and information streams without the need for extensive custom development.
While purpose-built platforms often provide all the functionality required, Cinos also has extensive experience developing bespoke control interfaces where additional flexibility, branding or operational functionality is needed. Our customisation capabilities include:
